The principal deity goddess Renuga
Devi, a self existent Swayambu') is
seen with head portion only in the Sanctum Sanctorum.
The Bana Lingam consecrated by Adi Sankara
and Statues of Brahma, Vishnu and Siva are also found in this shrine. A full stucco figure of Renuga Devi with four arms appears behind the 'Swayambu' (self existent). Two right arms carry knife and drum; two left arms carry Trisul and Kumkum Cup. She wears a Kreetam (crown) with fire and
also ornaments and garlands. She looks auspicious, sacred and beautiful.

PRAKARAM: (Four Mada Streets)
The outer Prakaram of the temple consists four Mada streets.
There is a shrine for
Veera Anjaneyar facing west at northwest compound Wall.
In
North Mada Street, there is a Kali Temple facing North.

A spacious Temple
Kalyana Mandapam (Marriage Hall) is situated on the northern
side of the North Mada Street. Facilities for Devotees such as water tank,
accommodation etc., are available on both sides of West Mada street.

Adjacent to the Kalyana Mandapams are Common bath rooms and a
Mandapam for hair offerings. To facilitate cooking Pongals
even during rainy days a roofed structure with fire wood stoves is
available for devotees. North Mada street also consist of quarters
for temple priests.
