The renovated
temple has a huge stone flagstaff running into several feet height.
At the bottom of this beautiful flagstaff, sculptures of
Garudalvar, Hanuman, the weapons of Lord Vishnu viz. conch and chakra are engraved. There is a spacious hall in
front of Moolavar
Sannathi. There is a separate shrine for a Thayar (sacred mother).
Vimanams of
Swamy and Thayar
Though there is no RajaGopuram the Moolavar Sannathi
and Thayar Sannathi are having Vimanams.
Hall with Ornamental Pillars
In front of the Moolavar Sannathi there is a spacious hall
consisting of ornamental stone pillars. Beautiful
pictures are engraved on this pillars.
Temple Theerthams
At both sides of the temple theerthams are located in creeks found
in between huge rocks. Water in one of the these theerthams
is used exclusively for the Abishegam.
Stone
Inscriptions and the well
A big square shaped well surrounded by rocks is located on the way
to the temple. The water from this well was once used by the
pilgrims. The stone
inscriptions of Sambuvarayar chieftains are found at the entrance of the
dilapidated fort.
Poojas
Poojas are performed once
in a week during Saturdays. Poojas are also performed during special
occasions such as Tamil New Year Day etc.
